We currently have an exciting opportunity to join Centrica’s Digital Technology Services (DTS) team as Portfolio Delivery Manager, reporting to Technology Delivery Director. You will manage Estate Simplification and Finance Transformation portfolio of about 60 projects. This is a highly visible role in Digital Technology Services. You will work closely with the DTS Leadership Team developing a companywide technology estate simplification strategy and managing its implementation. Finance systems is one of the focus areas of Estate simplification and Finance Transformation portfolio. You will partner with Finance Leadership Team to develop and implement their transformation roadmap, enabled by technology (SAP).

The ideal candidate will have experience in building high performing portfolio delivery teams in a multi-modal environment, with strong business acumen and a focus on strategic outcomes. Experience of Technology Portfolio Management in complex environments with a mixture of legacy, modern and emerging technologies will help you be successful in this role. You are likely to be a seasoned Portfolio or Programme Manager, who is able to engage credibly with executive stakeholders developing technology strategy, managing conflicting demands and priorities and who is not afraid to roll up the sleeves and get the work done with the delivery teams too.

The Day to day

• Develop Technology Estate Simplification and Finance Transformation portfolio delivery strategy.
• Plan and deliver portfolio roadmap of circa 60 projects annually.
• Manage a team of project managers.
• Manage portfolio multi-million budget and optimise return on investment.
• Manage portfolio demands prioritisation aligned to strategic objectives.
• Provide delivery assurance to technical project managers and across technology delivery teams.
• Ensure compliance with standards and governance.
• Be a Technology Delivery Partner for the companywide stakeholders.
• Provide portfolio reporting and manage portfolio communication companywide.
• Be a proactive member of Technology Delivery Management team and act as a role model for the DTS community.
