You have done some fantastic learning to date; we want to support your journey by adding in some real-world experience. Our inaugural 12 months Finance Year in Industry Programme aims to compliment your studies and accelerate your development - hopefully setting you up for your career in Finance!

The finance teams are pivotal to the success of Centrica and through the programme you can discover what life is like for our finance professionals.

Here’s what you will be doing:

Your placement will be within one of our finance teams, working at the heart of the finance function that amongst many other things provides financial control, performance analysis, critical insight, and decision support across all our business units.

We want you to experience as much as possible and be able to soak up and learn about the wonderful world of Finance and life at Centrica. We will be with you throughout your journey to give you all the support you need! Based on your performance you will also have the chance to earn a place on our 2026 Graduate programme following your final year of university.

Throughout the programme, you will be provided with an unparalleled level of support with access to buddies, mentors, and experienced line managers, as well as having a ready-made network of graduates across the business to tap into.

Procurement and Supply Chain knowledge is not expected – you will learn that when you are with us.

We have a few must-haves:

We’re looking for passionate individuals who are analytical, curious, and willing to learn. In addition, we would like you to demonstrate:

• Interested in a career in Finance

• Able to communicate complex ideas effectively

• Flexible and proactive with a can-do approach

• Capable of performing in a fast-paced environment

• Predicted minimum 2:1 degree in a STEM subject (2:2 if combined with a Master’s)

• Willing to relocate and try new things

• Have the right to work in the UK

• In the office a minimum of 2 days a week

• Available to start the programme from 18th June 2024 – 31st July 2025
