EA to Chief of Staff and Group Head of Strategy

Job Description

To provide support to the Executive Vice President (EVP), Strategy and undertake all duties to ensure the smooth running of the function. The role holder will have a high level of professional discretion, tact and integrity due to the frequency of senior level internal and external contacts and regular exposure to confidential and commercially sensitive data. The role holder will also demonstrate a high level of initiative as they will work both with the EVP and also the EA to the Chief Executive Officer but also independently with minimal guidance. The role holder will be required to provide cover for the EA to the CEO during periods of annual leave and any other periods of absence.

  • Location: Windsor, UK with travel as required

  • Salary: Competitive + Bonus + Private Healthcare + Pension

About The Role...

  • Provide an effective and efficient support service to a very high level of competency in support of the EVP

  • Manage the EVP’s travel, including arranging international and local travel: flights, hotels and detailed travel itineraries

  • Manage the EVP’s papers and documents to ensure he/she is fully prepared for all appointments

  • Take notes and compose correspondence to a high standard

  • Organise and prepare complex documentation, often requiring the collation of information from a number of individuals or departments

  • Ensures that all documents and information within the EVP’s office are held securely

  • Take responsibility for the co-ordination of projects or discreet pieces of work as directed by the EVP within the agreed guidelines to ensure the work is completed to deadline

  • Screen and redirect incoming messages and use own initiative to alert the EVP of high importance issues as they arise

  • Provide cover for other EAs as required from time to time to cover periods of holiday or absence

What We Need From You...

  • Experience of providing senior level support C-Suite executives in a complex matrix organisation

  • Experience in liaising effectively with senior executives internally and externally

  • Significant proven experience of operating in a similar role that requires a high level of commercial understanding within a complex environment

  • Experience of working under pressure and to tight deadlines

  • IT skills – Advanced Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Powerpoint and Outlook

  • Flexibility in working hours

  • Ability to work pro-actively and independently with confidence

  • Assertive, resilient and able to manage strong personalities, strong emotional resilience

  • High level of confidentiality and initiative

  • Highly organised, able to prioritise and forward plan and remains calm under pressure

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills (spoken and written) with a pleasant, professional manner

  • A self motivated individual with the ability to work alone under minimum supervision and direction
