About the job

You will work in close collaboration with other traders and analysts at our Power & Gas Trading desk (based in Singapore, but in touch with traders located in Aalborg, Denmark).

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting trading activities in the European power & gas markets.

• Monitoring trading activities to discover and eliminate operational risks.

• Assisting traders with data validation and various ad hoc projects.

• Assisting in trading/market analysis and identifying trading opportunities in established and emerging markets.

• Helping to build quantitative models to capture market opportunities, improve understanding of supply/demand drivers.

About you

The ideal candidate is by nature interested in identifying and solving problems and has a strong and structured ability to acquire knowledge and develop new skills. Stressful situations excite and fuel your motivation for pushing further. You can work independently, but at the same time you are a strong team player. You are goal oriented and grow with responsibility.

An overall flair for numbers and logical reasoning is required, but your line of study is of less importance to us, as we do not want you only for who you are, but who you can and want to become!

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a degree in Finance/Economics or STEM (preferred)

• Is proficient in Excel, programming skills (VBA/Python/R)

• Can work as a team player and on your own – the members of our team depend on each other

• Is focused on details and have a result-orientated mindset

Previous experience in trading is a plus.

Penultimate year students preferred

Start date: Winter 2023 Full-Time (Dec 2023-Jan 2024) + Part-Time Q1-Q2 2024 (2-3 days). Start date is flexible.
