Business Sales Agent

Job Description

Location - Primarily you will work from home in this role but you MUST live within a one hour commutable distance of one of our core sites in Uddingston, Leicester, Edinburgh, Stockport, Leeds or Cardiff.

Shift Patterns The shifts patterns for this role are 09.45 to 18.00 Monday to Friday. This is a full time permanent role.

Training Hours – Virtual training Monday to Friday 08:45 - 17.00 for five weeks. Please make sure this fits in with any pre-booked time off you may have.

Salary OTE up to £28,758 per annum - Comprised of £22,122 basic + up to £6,636k per annum paid monthly

Start Date January 2024

Business Movers delivers an exceptional service to customers moving in or out of a British Gas Business premise, providing a seamless experience through the change of tenancy and sales journey. Your role in this time will be to ensure retention of the British Gas energy supply by maximising new business and cross selling opportunities, whilst maintaining exceptional quality of service.

What you’ll be doing…

  • You’ll be working for our British Gas Business Movers Department dealing with the energy accounts for customers moving in and out of properties across the UK. Our team is super friendly, dynamic, and has a real focus on great sales and service.
  • Throughout your day you’ll be having open and honest conversations with your customers, asking the right questions, and aligning our products and services to meet their needs.
  • You’ll need to be committed to driving sustainable business growth through inspiring sales and amazing service.
  • We want you to deliver simple, sustainable, and affordable products across our business customer base, but always with care and courage
  • You will be processing high volumes, often complex customer enquiries – always focussing on resolving queries today, so the customer doesn’t need to contact us again.
  • Providing consistent, effective, and strong customer service behaviours whilst meeting KPI’s.
  • We’ll supply all your IT equipment - you’ll just need a desk, a comfortable chair and a stable, wired internet connection (10mps)

  • We’re always looking to train our people to the highest standard but previous sales and customer service experience is really beneficial. If this experience is on your CV then why not put your talent to good use? We’d love to hear from you!
  • It goes without saying we need people with lots of energy and enthusiasm to have great customer focussed conversations.
  • Your absolute passion for delivering the right British Gas product through good questioning and careful negotiation should be one of your motivational drivers
  • Naturally you should and have fantastic communication skills both written and verbal and also be computer literate too.
  • This department is super-fast paced, so agility and ownership skills are key to this role.
  • You need to be digitally savvy to maintain secure and accurate customer records
  • You’ll also need the confidence to escalate any issues or process improvements to the wider business area.

You’ll need the Right to Work in the UK so a passport or a birth certificate and proof of National Insurance are essential. A financial check will be arranged to ensure you meet our employment criteria.
