Job Description

  • Business to Business (B2B) Sales Specialist – This is a permanent, full time
  • Location - Within a one hour commutable distance of one of our core sites in Uddingston, Leicester, Edinburgh, Stockport, Leeds or Cardiff

Salary Up to £34,122 per annum Comprised of £22,122 basic +£12k OTE per annum paid monthly.

Shift Patterns The department is open Monday to Friday 08.00-18.00 and your shift patterns will fall within these hours over 5 days. No weekends or late nights!

Training Hours – Virtual training Monday to Friday 08:45 - 17.00 for four weeks – you must be able to train full time.

What you’ll be doing…

  • You’ll be working for our British Gas Business Sales Department dealing with the energy needs for new and existing small business customers across the UK. Our team is super friendly, dynamic, and really sales focussed as you’d expect.
  • Throughout your day you’ll be having open and honest conversations with your customers, asking the right questions, and aligning our products and services to meet their needs.
  • You’ll need to be committed to driving sustainable business growth through inspiring sales and amazing service.
  • We want you to deliver simple, sustainable, and affordable products across our business customer base, but always with care and courage
  • Providing consistent, effective, and strong customer service behaviours whilst meeting KPI’s.

And the skills we need from you….

  • We’re always looking to train our people to the highest standard but previous sales experience is essential. We’d love to hear from you if you have a proven track record of sales on your CV!
  • It goes without saying we need people with lots energy and enthusiasm to deal with live leads from both our inbound and outbound calls from customers.
  • Your absolute passion for delivering the right product through good questioning and careful negotiation should be one of your motivational drivers
  • Naturally you should and have fantastic communication skills both written and verbal.
  • This department is super-fast paced and, at times, can be high pressure so your resilience, agility and ownership skills are key to this role.
  • You’ll also need the confidence to escalate any issues or process improvements to the wider business area.
  • Oh, and don’t forget we’d love to see you self-develop and improve in your role – we’ll support you with your training and personal development too!
