About the team

At carwow we help our customers to navigate all aspects of the car buying journey, and that also includes helping them to sell their existing car. Customers can list their cars on our site, and our network of trusted dealers, who are always looking for great cars, bid to buy them. Once a price is agreed, we help to make the hand the handover as smooth as possible. Not only do we want to have the best experience for car owners, but we also want to be the best place for our dealer partners to acquire stock. Sometimes it feels like we’re just getting started but we’ve already come a really long way, growing this part of our business by over 100% each year.

Online auctions like ours are still a relatively new way to sell a car or for a dealer to buy one, and so we’re at the forefront of changing an industry. Being part of the Sell My Car team means being part of a really dynamic and focused group who are passionate about navigating this new way of doing things and committed to getting it right - for customers and dealers. We’re changing our business almost daily and so we work together really collaboratively to understand what needs to be done and how we’re going to do it. About the role

Are you a dynamic and ambitious individual looking to kickstart your career in sales? We are seeking a passionate Trainee Sales Executive to join our team and become an integral part of our automotive marketplace.

As a Trainee Sales Executive, you will utilise your exceptional sales skills to facilitate vehicle transactions between sellers (general public) and buyers (approved car dealers), ensuring a seamless and satisfying experience for all parties involved.

Additionally, you will provide valuable administrative support to senior sales personnel, enabling them to work more efficiently and effectively. If you're ready to embark on a rewarding journey in sales and customer service, this role is for you.

Responsibilities

  • Utilise your sales skills and knowledge to assist sellers and buyers in buying and selling vehicles through our automotive marketplace
  • Provide outstanding customer service and ensure a seamless process by effectively communicating with buyers and sellers over the phone, delivering a win-win outcome for all parties
  • Collaborate with the wider Sell my Car team to deliver efficient and effective customer service, contributing to the overall success of the team
  • Offer administrative support to senior sales personnel, enabling them to work more efficiently and accomplish tasks in a timely manner
  • Adapt quickly to new challenges and embrace a versatile approach to your work, demonstrating a proactive attitude and a willingness to learn and grow
  • Uphold the company's values, such as being proactive, effective, and positive, while consistently delivering outstanding customer service
  • Demonstrate strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks and prioritise responsibilities effectively
  • Embrace a strong team ethic and foster a positive and enthusiastic work environment

Requirements

  • Outstanding customer service skills and experience working with clients over the phone and via email
  • Versatility and eagerness to take on new challenges, coupled with a proactive and self-starting attitude
  • Strong organisational skills to effectively manage tasks and ensure timely completion
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service, consistently going above and beyond to provide the best experience possible
  • High levels of enthusiasm and a positive mindset, with a strong team ethic
  • Excellent spoken and written English capabilities, along with strong IT literacy and administrative skills
