About the role
This newly created role sits within the growing finance team based in Victoria, Central London and will report directly into the Head of FP&A. The successful candidate will be supporting the Operations function for our rapidly scaling Sell My Car proposition. As a critical link between Finance, Operations and Marketplace Analytics, you will be responsible for providing understanding on performance whilst identifying and driving improvement opportunities. You will be the key finance business partner for the senior UK leadership team, in their forecasting, workforce planning and ad-hoc analysis needs.
Responsibilities
- Ownership of the rolling Sell My Car business forecast model, providing visibility on future volumes and supporting strategic investment decisions
- Business partnering senior stakeholders to provide insights and recommendations
- Develop and own the Operations performance reporting processes
- Building/owning the Operations dashboard for analysing performance
- Being the subject expert, challenging performance of the Operations sub-departments and clearly communicating the main risks & opportunities
- Presenting the weekly story to Sell My Car leadership team
- Ad-hoc project analysis and modelling needs for the Sell My Car Commercial & Operations teams
Requirements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable with ambiguity and taking ownership to drive projects forward
- Great time management and ability to meet deadlines with changing priorities
- Strong analytical capabilities with a curious and problem-solving mindset
- Advanced Excel and modelling skills, experience with Google’s products suite a bonus
- Newly qualified accountant, or qualified by experience
