Why this job matters

The Sales Engineering Specialist supports account teams on enterprise sales within a designated product, industry area and technology, supporting potential clients through the BT Group's production and solution suite.

What you’ll be doing

1. Ensures excellence in pre-sales support for pre-qualified opportunities for all products and services across the BT group.
2. Supports the enablement of new sales activities in targeted accounts through leveraging influence on customer and industry relationships.
3. Manages and coordinates technical presentations of offerings to new potential customers.
4. Coordinates technical working sessions to jointly architect solutions for vertical and client specific business problems leveraging the BT Group's capabilities with prospective new customers.
5. Collates customer and partner feedback to aide product and services development.
6. Monitors customer pipelines and supports deal orchestration and closing for the team.
7. Establishes a comprehensive and deep understanding of customers, a challenges and an industry vertical aligning with the BT Group's propositions.
8. Mentors other sales specialist engineers, helping to improve the team's abilities by acting as a technical resource.
9. Champions, continuously develops and shares with team knowledge on emerging trends and changes in engineering within an area of expertise.
