About the role
As a direct report to the ICT Sales Manager in Northern Ireland, this role will be responsible for driving and growing our ICT revenues in NI Public Sector, with a particular emphasis on the Public sector; although the individual may be required to support opportunities within our Major Accounts in Private Sector. This is a sales role but with a high degree of technical expertise required as we need someone who can influence and create customer business cases and also tender outcomes.
What you’ll be doing
- Drive growth across the public sector in line with business priorities.
- Take a lead on selling strategic and operational ICT procurement with across a number of Technology areas.
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders in our public sector customers to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Work directly with customers as a trusted solution advisor to identify their business needs and propose potential ICT Infrastructure solutions.
- Ensure solutions adhere to relevant industry security regulations and standards.
- Identify innovations and initiatives to improve products, processes and tools used within the company.
- Work with Vendors and Partners on emerging technologies.
Essential Skills / Experience
- Experience of selling Server and Storage solutions – including Dell, HPE, Nutanix, Pure
- Experience of selling Client Device technology – Dell, HPI, Lenovo
- Experience in discussing security solutions with customers: Palo Alto, Fortinet, Microsoft
- Data Centre Design Solutions
- Public Cloud Solutions – Azure, AWS, GCP.
- Strong understanding of IT industry principles, technologies and market trends.
- Understanding of emerging technologies.
- Achieve and maintain agreed vendor accreditations and industry certifications.
- High degree of office skills, including Excel, Visio and Word to maintain high standards of customer designs documentation.
- Strong communicator with ability to work with people at all levels.
- Commercial awareness and business acumen.
- Strategic and tactical thinking.
- Collaborating effectively within a team structure.
- Ability to work unsupervised.
