Job Description

We operate a hybrid model of 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home, please only apply if you are comfortable with this arrangement.

As part of our Technical Design Practice, you’ll collaborate with customers, support internal teams (Sales, Business, Technology, Security, and Operations), and work with third-party technology providers. Reporting to a Technical Design Manager, you’ll play a key role in delivering transformative solutions.

You’ll be involved in engaging stakeholders to design innovative enterprise network solutions that align with digital strategies and advance business goals. Drawing on robust ICT frameworks, security principles, and industry best practices, you’ll provide architectural expertise and guide projects through from start to finish stages of the design and delivery lifecycle.

Joining an industry-leading technical team, you’ll work alongside architects, designers, and analysts, applying your expertise to tackle unique and unexpected challenges. Together, you’ll create tailored solutions that ensure success for every project.

What you’ll be doing

• Will be working on large complex contracts with experience of IT Systems & Storage, Microsoft Operating Systems and Virtualisation, Converged and Hyper-Converged architectures.

• Be recognised as a technical expert in your own discipline with experience of creating HLD’s and LLD’s

• Contribute to the technical direction, including peer review for Major Contracts, design and change projects to deliver high quality and complex technical solutions in a timely manner

• Provide input to internal executive briefings on assurance for complex solutions to management at sign on, midpoint review and sign off

• Personal contribution to customer facing sales units and negotiating in projects ensuring the role has an external focus

• Spend a high proportion of time customer facing, building executive relationships and industry and/or sector expertise

• Contribute to solutions business improvement projects to drive competitive advantage, efficiency, cost transformation and innovation in design lifecycle

• Work closely with governance teams, particularly the Enterprise architect and project management teams and at times business management and business sales teams to maximise customer satisfaction and profitable growth

• Build relationships with virtual technical team leads on technical architecture strategy, transformation, proposal quality, virtual team management, hybrid models with partners, commercials, profitability, tactics and negotiation

What we'd like to see from your CV

• Experienced in providing a lead technical pre-sales role for large contracts, inputting to cost builds and/or budgets

• Experience working with large customers to design hybrid architectures and transformation of large Complex Solutions

• Can demonstrate dealing with complex Customer issues and escalations

This role offers a 3 together, 2 wherever working model. This means you are required to be at your contractual location 3 days a week with 2 flexible days per week.
