Why this job matters
We are seeking an operational security analyst to join a global company in a growing and continuously evolving field, as part of a collaborative and comfortable team environment.
The selected candidate will work in a global security team on a 24x7x365 basis.
The role has the following objectives:
- Provide technical support, ensuring compliance with contractual SLAs and specific KPIs for global customers
- Ensure the protection and integrity of the customers’ IT infrastructure, focusing on the management of perimeter devices
What you’ll be doing – your accountabilities
- Incident management process and troubleshooting calls
- Change management process: preparation, implementation and monitoring
- Vendor engagement
- For P1 and P2 security incidents and major global security incidents, immediate escalations will be applied as defined in the security incident process
- Responsible for maintaining, controlling and ensuring compliance with SLAs defined for each type of incident per customer
- Demonstrate discipline and deep knowledge to follow defined processes and documentation, ensuring quality parameters are met
- Manage process escalation to security specialists according to procedures for each customer and type of incident
- Proactively report improvements or deficiencies in processes detected
- Ensure continuous improvement of skills and dynamism to manage systems and tools effectively, delivering the service with agility and competence
Skills required for the job
- At least 1 year of experience in network security in a SOC or NOC handling incidents and changes
- Strong networking foundation (TCP/IP protocol suite, DHCP, DNS, LAN/WAN, remote access, DMZ architecture, network monitoring, intrusion detection)
- Knowledge of basic operating system concepts
- Technical skills in IT Security Systems Technologies:
- Firewalls
- WAF
- Proxies
- Vulnerability management
- NAC
- Soft skills: customer focus, teamwork, efficient and effective communication adapted to the audience, analytical mindset, attention to detail, problem-solving ability and taking ownership
- Fluent in English, both written and speaking
Valuable qualifications
- CompTIA Network+
- Cisco CCNA
- ITIL knowledge
- Recognised technical qualification or accreditation in the field of perimeter security specialism
