As a 3rd Line Engineer, you’ll play a key role in delivering exceptional technical support and managed services to our customers, ensuring the reliability and performance of critical Data Services around the clock. Please note you must either hold or be eligible for SC (Security Clearance) for this role, which will require a minimum of 5 years working history in the UK to be eligible.

What you’ll be doing

  • Act as the Technical Operational Authority (TOA), owning the technical delivery model and maintaining service quality throughout the life of the contract.

  • Assess and implement complex in-life changes, ensuring minimal impact on existing infrastructure and providing technical concurrence and documentation updates.

  • Serve as the primary technical liaison between BT and the customer, participating in change advisory boards, service reviews, and strategic discussions as required.

  • Lead problem and incident management, coordinating across suppliers, third parties, and internal resolver teams to ensure timely resolution of complex technical issues.

  • Drive continuous service improvement through performance optimisation, capacity analysis, and proactive estate management of hardware and software lifecycles.

What we'd like to see on your CV

  • Proven experience working within a systems integrator support environment as a skilled technical engineer.

  • Detailed knowledge of EMS products, IT systems, applications, and Data Services technologies with associated management tools.

  • Demonstrated ability to work across the service lifecycle, contributing technical expertise and supporting bids as a subject matter expert.

  • Experience delivering service improvement and transformation initiatives, enhancing performance and operational efficiency.

  • Excellent organisation, prioritisation, communication, and collaboration skills, with a proactive and accountable approach to achieving outcomes.
