About You
You’ll work closely with Brit’s Head Of Risk Aggregation and other members of the Research & Development team to develop Brit’s knowledge of catastrophe risk and the implementation of technology to support Brit’s commercial operations.
You’ll also be responsible for the continuous development of the business’ understanding of its risk profile through two key pillars;
The ownership and development of the Brit View of Risk to ensure the view of catastrophe risk used across the business is robust and reflects the latest science (including relating to climate change)
The management and development of external and internal tools related to Risk Aggregation to deliver best-in-class processes and analytics across the team and business.
Ideally you will be Educated to degree level with additional post graduate qualifications gained through either further academic study (e.g. Masters, PhD or equivalent working research experience) in a relevant discipline (e.g. seismology, engineering, meteorology, hydrology, computer science) or professional qualifications
Also, this role will benefit from Previous experience in the Lloyd’s/London Market gained through your previous roles.
The role
The Regulatory Reporting team is responsible for the timely and accurate preparation and submission of statutory returns for Lloyd’s (including Solvency II returns) and the BMA, and statutory accounts for Brit’s Lloyd’s Syndicates and Syndicate related legal entities. The primary purpose of this role is to prepare for these requirements, training and mentor direct report/s whilst providing assistance and support to the Senior Manager in fulfilling their responsibilities.
