Your responsibilities include:

• Understanding complex technological concepts and communicating them in simplified, visual form
• Collaborating and communicating across teams and roles; setting clear expectations and guidance for the designers supporting your efforts; and effectively managing “up”
• Designing with consistency, an attention to detail, and with a knowledge of inclusivity and accessibility
• Exhibiting familiarity with qualitative research methods and knowing how to incorporate research findings into designs
• Contributing to our Design System, UI guidelines, and their maintenance, including ownership of the stewardship and communication of patterns to product teams.
• Thinking both conceptually and pragmatically about product strategy to ensure that Boomi remains an industry leader

Essential Requirements

• An insatiable curiosity, a collaborative spirit, and a growth mindset – strong alignment with our team’s Core Values
• A solid history of leading design efforts for product development, or complex business systems and applications, as well as leading others in those efforts. Strong empathy for our customers, and the ability to represent their business needs in optimally-designed experiences (sketches, wireframes, and prototypes)
• Exceptional verbal and visual communication skills. A commitment to excellence over perfection — you must be comfortable working nimbly with ‘just enough’ data to make informed decisions and operate within a fast-paced agile environment
• Work samples and/or case studies that show us how you work through the process, and the outcome of those efforts

Desirable Requirements

• Familiarity with SaaS products, or relevant and transferable experience in technical spaces, e.g., designing for reporting and analytics, developer portals, and publishing tools
• Strong business acumen, and a considered, clearly-articulated design philosophy. Familiarity with rapid prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Miro)
• Ability and interest in occasional travel spanning 2-5 days at a time (<10% travel)
• The interest and ability to mentor others; the desire to collaborate, with the ability to operate independently
• Experience working in Agile environments is a plus, as is involvement in the UX community
• The ability to provide and accept constructive criticism in a timely and direct manner — Radical Candor is our team’s feedback framework
