Your next exciting career opportunity -

We are looking for a senior consultant to join our APAC team in Perth or Brisbane. The Senior Risk & Safety Consultant will be at the forefront of risk modelling assignments, ensuring the efficient and effective execution of various projects. This role gives the success applicant the responsibility of working as the Senior Australia based team member for the APAC Risk & Modelling team based out of Singapore.

To be successful in the role you will confident and competent in performing Quantitative Risk Assessments (QRAs) and developing safety cases in compliance with Singapore, Australian or other jurisdiction regulatory requirements. Strong knowledge of risk assessment techniques and tools, along with the ability to provide valuable insights and recommendations to our clients is vital.

In this role we will support you to:

  • Undertake diverse risk modelling assignments with utmost efficiency, showcasing your exceptional skills and experience.

  • Conduct Quantitative Risk Assessments (QRAs) and develop safety cases in compliance with Singapore, Australian or other jurisdiction regulatory requirements.

  • Demonstrate a profound understanding of risk management techniques and tools, employing them to deliver outstanding results.

  • Navigate the intricacies of Singapore, Australian or other jurisdiction QRA and Safety case approvals processes, ensuring compliance and maintaining a smooth workflow.

  • Utilize your exposure to asset management advisory services, such as Asset Integrity, RAM, FSA, to offer comprehensive solutions to our esteemed clients.

  • Leverage your knowledge of programming languages, such as Python and MATLAB, to streamline BMT internal processes and enhance productivity & efficiency.

  • Contribute to projects of varying sizes and scope, exhibiting your project management skills and making valuable contributions to their success.

  • Independently handle technical tasks, providing expert advice and guidance to the project team.

Relevant Education, Experience, and Skills:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in risk management advisory and QRA (Quantitative Risk Assessment)

  • An Engineering or master’s degree in chemical engineering or an equivalent field.

  • Project management skills, coupled with excellent oral and written communication, time management, and commercial acumen.

  • Familiarity with Singapore, Australian or other jurisdiction QRA and Safety case approvals processes.

  • Experience in the preparation, presentation, and review of proposals.

  • Exposure to asset management advisory services, such as Asset Integrity, RAM, FSA, will be advantageous.

  • Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Python, MATLAB).

  • Worked on energy transition, green tech, and sustainability-related projects.

  • Hands-on experience with risk modelling software such as PHAST, SAFETI, Effects and Risk Curves, QGIS, etc.

  • Ability to deliver projects independently and meet customer expectations.

  • Travel to APAC client locations, conference locations or other BMT offices on occasion (which may be interstate or overseas) as and when required.
