About the role

Blexr is seeking a Head of Product Design and Research for a fixed term contract for maternity leave cover (9 months). This is a full-time position and will report to the Chief Operating Officer (COO).

As the Head of the UX chapter in Blexr, you will be the person responsible for the user experience of all Blexr's products, and in charge of all product design and research team activities, from strategy and research to production.

You have deep care about users and a passion for the user experience craft. You have a strong UX vision and know how to foment a user-centric culture at a company level and across multiple departments.

You'll manage and coach a team of talented designers and researchers who will follow your guidance, helping them to maintain and improve the existing processes and tools needed to be successful in their discovery and delivery work.

Key responsibilities

  • Mentoring, coaching, and developing a team of product designers and UX researchers with different levels of seniority
  • Working together with your team to continuously improve their ways of working and current processes in order to deliver meaningful and high-quality UX outputs in a timeline manner.
  • Being a thoughtful leader who can inspire internally and maintain a strong team culture that enables a collaborative, open and transparent environment.
  • Working across the entire company, helping the business to understand the high-level end-to-end user experience, and creating a tailored UX strategy for each of Blexr's products
  • Building relationships and identifying ways to collaborate with other departments directly or indirectly involved in the user experience, such as marketing, commercial, product, and tech.
  • About you

  • A strong background in user-centred design frameworks and experience in a wide range of research methodologies
  • Experience managing remote UX teams and bringing them to outstanding levels of quality
  • Experience working closely with senior stakeholders on a daily basis, influencing business strategy, and collaborating with senior peers from different departments of the company
  • A confident communicator who uses storytelling and visualisation to make complex problems easy to digest, helping the business to make user-centric decisions based on data.
  • Proven ability to create and grow products that address real user needs and solve pain points in a seamless way
