Job Description

Job Summary
The Packaging Operator 2 is responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the packaging of pharmaceutical products, ensuring compliance with cGMP regulations and company quality standards. This role involves operating packaging equipment, performing in-process checks, and documenting activities accurately.

Job Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor various packaging machinery and equipment, including but not limited to fillers, cappers, labelers, and cartoners.
  • Perform equipment setup, changeovers, and minor troubleshooting according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Conduct in-process quality checks, including visual inspections, label verification, and component counts, and record results accurately.
  • Document all production activities, including batch records, logbooks, and equipment usage, in a clear and timely manner.
  • Adhere strictly to cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices) guidelines, safety procedures, and company policies.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, performing routine cleaning and sanitation of equipment and the packaging suite.
  • Identify and report any deviations, quality issues, or equipment malfunctions to the supervisor promptly.
  • Participate in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge of packaging processes and equipment.
  • Assist with material handling, including loading and unloading components and finished goods.


Job Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or packaging environment, preferably in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
  • Proven ability to operate and troubleshoot packaging machinery.
  • Strong understanding of cGMP regulations and quality control principles.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend instructions in English.
  • Basic mathematical skills for calculations and data recording.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and stand for extended periods.
  • Proficiency in using basic computer applications is a plus.



This position is for the B shift Assembly which is one week Monday – Wednesday and the next week is Monday – Thursday.

Alternates every other week. 36 hours one week and 48 hours the next. Time: is 5:45 PM – 6:00 AM every day assembly is scheduled to work.
