Job Description

The Marketing & Launch Excellence Manager, Surgical Solutions Europe will support the marketing vision and transformation agenda for the Surgical Solutions portfolio across Europe. Reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager, Surgical Solutions EMEA, this position plays a critical role in driving the success and growth of the BD Surgical Solutions portfolio within the BD Surgery Business Unit across the region.

In this role, you will help advance marketing capabilities, strengthen strategic marketing initiatives, and elevate the positioning of the Surgical Solutions portfolio. You will identify growth opportunities, enhance customer engagement, and support the successful commercialization of innovative products, services, and solutions.

The role combines strategic marketing, portfolio growth support, communication excellence, and launch excellence to maximize business impact while embedding marketing best practices across the organization.

Working in close partnership with Regional Portfolio Leads, Omnichannel Marketing, Country Marketing teams, and Global Marketing partners, you will contribute to the development of impactful marketing strategies, compelling portfolio communications, and successful product launches that drive measurable business results.

Key Responsibilities:

Portfolio Growth & Strategic Marketing

• Identify growth opportunities through market analysis and modeling, customer insights, competitive intelligence, and segmentation.
• Partner with Regional Portfolio Leads to establish portfolio positioning, value propositions, and commercialization strategies that drive adoption and business performance.

Strategic Communication & Brand Positioning

• Translate portfolio strategies into clear, compelling, and differentiated communication approaches that strengthen brand positioning and customer engagement.
• Collaborate with Global Marketing, Regional Portfolio Leads, Country Marketing and Omnichannel teams to Support the development of impactful messaging frameworks, marketing campaigns, and customer-facing content.
• Ensure consistent, customer-centric communication across channels and customer touchpoints.

Launch Excellence

• Champion launch excellence across Europe to ensure successful product introductions and commercialization., including launch planning, execution, and performance tracking in collaboration with regional and country teams.
• Drive the adoption of best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to maximize launch impact and accelerate market adoption.

Marketing Excellence & Performance

• Promote customer-centric, data-driven, and omnichannel marketing approaches across the organization
• Define and monitor KPIs to evaluate portfolio and marketing performance.
• Translate customer, market, and field insights into actionable recommendations that support portfolio growth and continuous improvement.

About you:

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Life Sciences, or a related field (MBA preferred).
• 5-8 years of marketing experience, ideally within Medical Devices, Healthcare, MedTech, or Pharma industry. Experience with surgery is a plus
• Experience in strategic marketing, portfolio management, product launches, brand positioning, or commercialization. Strong understanding of customer insights, segmentation, omnichannel marketing, and communication strategy.
• Experience working effectively in a matrix organization with regional and global stakeholders.
• Fluent in English; additional European languages are an advantage.

Salary range for the role based in Italy: 75000 / 80000€ + variable pay + benefits. CCNL chimico-farmaceutico
