Job Description
Job Title: Wargaming Designer
Location: Guildford or Preston. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role
Salary: Circa £60,000 commensurate with skills and experience
What you’ll be doing:
- Responsible for computational modelling & simulation and perform operational research & analysis
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to understand requirements and design of a variety of wargames
- Be involved in other projects in customer-facing teams depending upon your research and analysis skill set
- Provide data insights and conduct social science research
- Perform concept & capability assessments
- Conduct process & value stream mapping and business case development
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
- Expertise in designing manual wargames, including rule set creation and scenario development
- Ability to facilitate games and adjudicate outcomes based on rule sets
- Strong qualitative analytical skills to interpret game outcomes and provide actionable insights.
- Experience with or knowledge of defence strategies, military tactics, and historical conflicts
- Creativity in game design and development to address complex customer requirements
- Understanding of kinetic military operations and conflict scenarios
