Job Description

Job Title: Through Life Support – Maintenance Specialist

Location: Warton – We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role

Salary: £47,683 + Depending on Skillset

What you’ll be doing:

  • Deputising for the Maintenance System Design Lead during periods of prolonged absence, ensuring continuity of governance and strategic direction.
  • Supporting the development and integration of the through-life maintenance support system architecture across the product lifecycle, aligning with engineering, programme, and support functions
  • Acting as an internal maintenance subject matter expert, advising design and programme teams on maintainability, regulation, certification, and sustainment considerations
  • Contributing to the definition and validation of maintenance concepts, including planned and unplanned interventions, operating environments, tooling, diagnostics, and support equipment requirements
  • Identifying opportunities to optimise system design and support solutions through the application of maintenance best practice, regulatory compliance, and cost-effective sustainment strategies
  • Supporting the creation of maintenance task analysis, authoring strategies for technical publications, digital maintenance instructions, and integration with the Digital Thread.
  • Providing technical input into supportability analysis, trade studies, and Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) deliverables including Level of Repair Analysis, RCM, and FMECA

Your skills and experiences:

Essential

  • Experience working in a PT145 or part M environment
  • HND, Degree or equivalent qualification in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Avionics, or a related discipline
  • Experience of aircraft maintenance operations, processes, and carrying out preventative and corrective maintenance activities, in both peacetime and deployed environments

Desirable

  • Military background
  • Maintenance, repair and overhaul experience

The The Maintenance & Continuing Airworthiness (M&CA) team:

The Maintenance & Continuing Airworthiness (M&CA) team is small, specialist team, that make up part of the larger Through Life Support team which encompasses other capabilities such as Supportability, Through Life Engineering, Training, Supply Chain and Mission Enablement. The team works collaboratively internally across our tri-national organisation and externally with the customers to deliver its outputs.
