Job Title: Supply Chain Professional – Inventory Co-ordinator
Location: Portsmouth Naval Base, hybrid – 2 days onsite
Salary: Up to £36,000 (Depending on skill and experience)

What you’ll be doing:
This role offers the opportunity to shape effective inventory management by working collaboratively across teams and deputising for the Inventory Controller when required. You’ll engage with Project teams to identify opportunities to redeploy stock and ensure accuracy and control across all inventory processes.
You’ll take ownership of SAP inventory profiling, produce key reporting metrics, and coordinate with Engineering to ensure correct part setup. By cleansing SAP records, optimising MRP activities, and working with the EBS SAP team to refine system configuration, you’ll play a vital part in improving inventory accuracy, availability and overall operational performance.
Core duties:
- You’ll have experience in SAP MRP materials‑management activities, supported by good numerical skills and sound financial awareness
- You’ll have a high level of data accuracy and the ability to analyse, maintain and produce reports using Excel and other data tools
- You’ll have experience in inventory and materials management
- You’ll have a solid understanding of inventory‑management policies, processes and best practice
- You’ll have project‑facing experience with excellent planning and organisational skills
- You’ll have an understanding of operational improvement techniques and methodologies
The Project Inventory Management team:
The Project Inventory Management Team manages excess project stock, identifies redeployment opportunities and manages SAP‑based MRP activities leading to cost saving for us and our customer and improved availability of stores. The team drives accurate reporting, optimises inventory practices, and works closely with Engineering, Commercial, and Projects and the wider Supply Chain team.
