Job Description
Job Title: Principal Engineer – Software Acquisition Management
Location: Frimley, Broad Oak, Weymouth or Filton. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.
Salary: £43,373 plus depending on skills and experience
What you’ll be doing:
- Reporting to Dreadnought combat systems Software Manager on progress of tasks
- Advising design and technical authorities on interpretation and acceptance of Software deliverables to ensure the delivered solutions meet the specified contractual and regulatory requirements
- Collaborating with subcontractors on interpretation and acceptance of Software requirements
- Engaging with Customer on interpretation and acceptance of Software requirements
- Working closely with Design Assurance team to ensure a consistent approach to the above
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
- Degree qualified in a relevant engineering discipline
- Experience of requirements management, preferably in DOORS
- Demonstratable experience of governance across the Software development lifecycle
- Previous experience in stakeholder management with ability to influence decisions
- Experience in software product and/or quality assurance
Desirable:
- Some knowledge of DEVOPS (Software Factory) and baseline management would be advantageous
