Job Description:
You will lead and support a diverse team of SHE specialists, providing clear, practical and expert guidance across the business. Working closely with senior leaders and managers, you will ensure they have the insight and assurance needed to manage Safety, Health and Environment effectively and to deliver our strategic goals. You will also help shape and implement our SHE strategy, maintain essential licences, consents and permits, and promote a positive, collaborative culture where everyone can contribute to a safer, healthier and more sustainable workplace.
Core duties:
- You will lead and develop SHE professionals, supporting a high‑performing, inclusive and collaborative team
- Specialist SHE guidance will be provided to the business, ensuring leaders receive clear, expert technical advice
- You will champion change by helping teams adopt new SHE processes, tools and ways of working
- Stakeholder collaboration will be key as you influence alignment with SHE standards and expectations
- Regulatory compliance will be maintained through effective oversight of licences, consents and permits
Essential Skills:

- Chartered IOSH membership, or equivalent professional accreditation, demonstrating recognised expertise and commitment to continuous professional development
- Proven experience in technical SHE roles, with the ability to lead, develop and support high-performing teams
- Strong scientific or advanced engineering background, with knowledge of occupational hygiene, environmental permitting and control, enabling informed, evidence-based decision-making
The SHE Team:
You will lead the business’ specialist SHE team across Environmental Compliance, Sustainability, Occupational Hygiene, Wellbeing, Construction Safety and Engineering Safety. Your team will influence and coach colleagues to consider specialist SHE risks in decision‑making and develop effective strategic and operational solutions.
