From the depths of the ocean, to the far reaches of space, there’s no limit to where a career at BAE Systems could take you.

Job Description:

This role sits at the heart of the River Class Destroyers (RCD) programme, leading the development and delivery of support product requirements and change management to ensure a fully supportable, world-class naval capability. You will drive alignment between engineering, support and customer expectations, ensuring all deliverables meet contractual obligations with robust traceability and governance. By influencing stakeholders across the Global Combat Ship programme, you will manage complexity, mitigate risk and enable informed decision-making. Your work will directly impact the through-life supportability of the platform, protecting BAE Systems’ reputation and ensuring successful delivery to the customer.

Core duties:

  • Take a leading role in shaping and delivering the support product requirements and change strategy for the River Class Destroyers (RCD) programme – at the forefront of a complex and high-profile naval platform
  • Ensure delivery excellence so that all contracted support outputs consistently meet or exceed customer expectations
  • Drive effective requirements and change management, evaluating impacts and coordinating responses across multidisciplinary engineering and support teams
  • Champion the integrity of support data by maintaining robust traceability, configuration control and compliance evidence across all Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) deliverables
  • Act as the focal point for support change, representing the function at key governance forums including Change Boards and customer reviews
  • Provide clear, insightful reporting on requirement status, progress and risks – enabling informed decision-making at senior levels

Essential Skills:

  • Engineering qualification (Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent) or relevant maritime experience, with a passion for delivering supportable, high-integrity systems
  • Strong understanding of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS), requirements management and through-life support within complex engineering programmes
  • Proven experience with managing requirements and change, with the ability to assess impacts and lead cross-functional resolution in a dynamic environment. Ideally including working knowledge of Windchill, JIRA and DOORS Requirements Management tools
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the resilience and drive to deliver high-quality outcomes under pressure with the confidence to influence, negotiate and collaborate at all organisational levels

Global Combat Ship Export Team:

The Global Combat Ship Export Team is a dynamic, collaborative group delivering critical supportability solutions to the Royal Canadian and Australian Navies. At the centre of complex international programmes, we support BAE Systems and its partners in a fast‑paced environment, providing diverse lifecycle products where every day offers new challenges and opportunities.
