Job Description

Job Title: Senior Quality Inspector – Inspection (Pipe)

Location: Barrow-in-Furness. (Full-time onsite, shift work)

Salary: £37,091+ 20% shift allowance depending on skills & experience

What you’ll be doing:

  • Performing complex and specialist quality inspection activities, applying expert knowledge within your specific quality discipline

  • Undertaking complex and specialist Quality Inspection activities within their specialist Quality discipline

  • Conducting conditions management and customer walk-round audits

  • Performing quality activities in accordance with established processes and procedures, reviewing and updating them where necessary

  • Using calibrated measuring equipment to verify product tolerances and record any non-conformances

Your skills and experience:

  • Experience using and training others in the use of technology and tools applicable to the discipline

  • Ability to interpret specifications, procedures and contract requirements

  • Effective stakeholder management

  • Qualified in an appropriate technical discipline or equivalent experience (e.g. time served in trade discipline)

The Dreadnought Quality & Outfit Inspection Team:

You’ll join an established, continuously evolving team at the forefront of Dreadnought submarine construction within the Devonshire Dock Hall. This is a unique opportunity to become part of the Quality team in a complex shipbuilding environment, using a wide range of inspection techniques and equipment to support the Dreadnought build programme and ensure the delivery of world-class Submarine capability to the Royal Navy. We offer relocation support packages across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.
