Job Title: Senior Manufacturing Engineer – Build Strategy

Location: Barrow – We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

Salary: 40,748+ depending on experience

What you’ll be doing:

• Writing processes & standards to enable the boat to build to configuration strategy
• Confirming and validating the build strategy (the optimal way to build the sub)
• Aligning with the programme outcome on a large level
• Creating build manufacturing assembly plans
• Validating required in yard dates, when equipment is required from external sources

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

• HNC or degree in Engineering preferred or equivalent experience
• Stakeholder management & communication skills
• Manufacturing/Structural Engineering exp (Automotive, Ships, High hazard industrial, Heavy industry)
• Design exposure
• SAP, Teamcenter, NX, JIRA

Desirable:

• Ship build knowledge
• Subs knowledge

The SSNA Team:

Working in either the Process team or Build Strategy team, you will be joining the SSNA programme, but will need to collate learning from experience from Dreadnought & Astute when needed. You will be liaising and managing relations with a variety of stakeholders and business teams. You will be playing a key part in supporting the delivery of major projects and gaining exposure to senior stakeholders.
