Job Description:

The primary goal of the role is to support the development and the delivery of the Resilience Training Programme in accordance with organisational and legislation requirements. You will also support the operational readiness of response facilities and Resilience capability across the BAE Systems Barrow site.

Core duties:

  • Delivers the Resilience training programme and identifies training opportunities required to support overall Organisational Resilience and nuclear safety
  • Maintains training records utilising the Fusion training record management system and interrogates the system to identify training gaps and needs
  • Engages with key stakeholders in the development of training plans in accordance with agreed objectives and available time and resources
  • Produces and maintains Resilience policies and procedures to support the LC/AC1, REPPIR 2019 and other associated regulation requirements
  • Produces, maintains and develops training packages to support Resilience and Nuclear/Emergency Response Organisation requirements, including Site Accountability Infrastructure requirements
  • Conducts feedback and assessment elements of exercises and training in accordance with organisational requirements and identify learning outcomes that meet agreed learning and development needs identified within emergency and business continuity arrangements
  • Provides professional resilience advice to internal and external stakeholders as well as to support design substantiation reports for programmes and facilities
  • Responsible for the delivery of the Nuclear/Emergency Response Organisation on call rota and supporting the operational readiness of Nuclear/Emergency Response Organisation facilities and equipment

Essential Skills:

  • Working knowledge of training delivery and coordination
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Proven experience in emergency preparedness, operational readiness, and resilience activities
  • Proactive, self-driven, and solutions-focused approach
  • Emergency Planning background or experience would be advantageous
