Job Description

Job Title: Senior Engineer – AUKUS Lead (Future Talent team)

Location: Barrow-In-Furness. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role

Salary: £42,215 + dependant on skills and experience

What you’ll be doing:

  • Work with engineering points of contact to plan work-based experience pathways to support the learning requirements for the Australian embed’s time in the UK
  • Ensure that embeds are fully aware of their placements, knowledge transfer requirements and plans for their activities – including supporting them to resolve conflicts / integration issues
  • Collaborate with learning and development team members to formulate complete learner journeys for embeds including various training interventions
  • Stakeholder management with UK and Australian Engineering, Programme , Security and HR personnel
  • Information management / configuration control is a key responsibility of this role
  • Support the functional Responsible Person by highlighting key issues and escalation of risks and problem solving requirements

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • Knowledge of one or more of the following areas: People Capability / Learning & Development / Training / Engineering Function
  • Ability to formulate complete learner journeys, including work-based learning and training requirements
  • An ability to navigate and influence complex / conflicting requirements and create solutions to create a ‘Best for Programme’ outcome
  • Good information management, including process development and data management
  • Excellent stakeholder management across multiple organisations, functions, disciplines and nations (all with established ways of working)

Desirable

  • Knowledge of the Engineering function, domains / disciplines and development pathways
  • Ability to balance the support of embeds’ personal and professional development needs
