About the OPPORTUNITY

We have an exciting opportunity for 2 Senior Change Leads to join our DDC – Surface Ships Program based in Adelaide, Melbourne & Sydney, reporting to the Senior Change Practice Manager.

We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, such as working a 9-day fortnight hybrid working.

You will be responsible for executing change and adoption strategies for medium to large-scale initiatives, applying hands-on expertise to deliver high-quality outcomes that align with organisational goals and support the seamless integration of change efforts into project delivery. This role involves close collaboration with stakeholders, proactive risk management, and direct contributions to the creation and delivery of change deliverables. The Senior Change Adoption Lead also supports the continuous improvement of change frameworks to drive successful and sustainable outcomes

Key responsibilities include:

  • Manages the development and execution of change & adoption plans for medium to large-scale initiatives, ensuring integration with project schedules and stakeholder needs. Provides strategic guidance to leaders to drive alignment and support
  • Facilitates alignment and collaboration with key stakeholders, managing relationships to secure commitment for change initiatives while adhering to the organisational Change Framework
  • Executes change management activities, including conducting impact assessments, developing communication scripts, facilitating stakeholder sessions, and collaborating with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to deliver training content that ensures effective adoption
  • Designs and delivers targeted communication plans, ensuring integration with project timelines and collaboration with communications teams to maintain consistency
  • Identifies risks related to change and adoption, collaborating with project teams to develop and implement mitigation strategies proactively
  • Monitors and evaluates change performance metrics, using research data to inform adjustments and improvements to the Change Engagement Plan
  • Produces detailed progress reports, providing analysis and recommendations to the Steering Committee and project leaders to guide decision-making
  • Contributes to the development and refinement of change methodologies and tools, supporting practitioner training and consistency in application

About YOU

  • Tertiary qualification in Organisational Psychology/ Human Resources is considered desirable
  • Certification in PROSCI or APMG is considered desirable
  • A background in end-to-end Software Delivery, work with Supply Chain Changes, warehousing or Program Assurance is considered desirable
  • Defence security clearance or eligibility to obtain Baseline Clearance
