Job Title: Resource Controller

Location: Glascoed

Salary: £38,604

What you’ll be doing:

• You will ensure stock accuracy and verification is maintained in the EMDA and Proof Yard areas and carry out Cycle Count and Stock Verification in these areas for compliance purposes

• Ensure off-site shipments of waste products meet the requirements of ADR (Dangerous goods by road) and satisfy security protocols

• This role will require you to engage with relevant stakeholders throughout the wider Land business and external contractors to ensure items can be disposed, labour hours, transport and disposal costs can be covered

• You will raise transport requisitions for all dispatches identifying Hazard Class, Section 5, NEQ, gross weight and dimensions

• Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels, exercising appropriate levels of courtesy, diplomacy and tact, in line with the businesses code of conduct

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

• Previous experience in a High Hazard related role

• IT Literate, proficient in Microsoft Office Applications and in SAP stock control

• Transportation and storage of Dangerous Goods

Desirable:

• Waste Management Duty of Care

• ADR – Dangerous Goods by Road

• IOSH or NEBOSH – plus additional modules e.g. Process Safety Management, Environmental etc.

• Lean Principles and Problem Solving (Green Belt)

The Disposals team:

Join our small but agile team tackling complex challenges across building clearance, munitions, equipment, and energetic material disposal. As a Resource Controller, you’ll gain hands-on experience with a diverse product range while shaping safe disposal processes and collaborating with internal and external experts. Operating site-wide, you’ll enjoy exceptional exposure across the business, strong ties with other BAE sites, and you will be directly reporting to the Disposals Project Manager. It’s a varied, high-visibility role with real impact across operations.
