Job Description

Job Title: Requirements and Acceptance Engineer

Location: Glasgow – Scotstoun – We offer a range of flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role

Salary: Up to £52,000 (dependent on skills and experience)

What you’ll be doing:

  • Responsible for documenting requirements and associated acceptance evidence within the requirements Database and for managing and maintaining that information
  • Manage and maintain requirement compliance details
  • Manage and maintain requirement verification and acceptance details
  • Review supplier requirement verification information
  • Act as a point of contact with suppliers in assigned areas on engineering matters
  • Maintain awareness of task objectives and priorities
  • Collaborate with the Requirements & Acceptance team to deliver team objectives and goals

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • Working experience within systems engineering and knowledge of the engineering lifecycle
  • Experience and understanding of requirements development and management practices
  • High level of competence and capability with Microsoft Office suite

Engineers at all levels should possess an academic qualification in Engineering or other related STEM subjects as well as specific (either academic or professional) qualifications and become recognised as Incorporated or Chartered Engineers through an appropriate recognised professional institution.

Engineers are encouraged, and will be supported, to achieve the relevant accreditation.

Preference will be given to candidates who are already professionally registered.

Desirable:

  • Good level of competence and capability with requirements management tools and techniques such as DOORS
  • Understanding of configuration management principles

As a Requirements and Acceptance (R&A) Engineer, you be required to assist in the development and management of project requirements and liaise with Subject Matter Experts to identify evidence for verification and validation, leading to acceptance of those requirements with the Customer

The Requirements and Acceptance team works with various equipment delivery teams – engineering, operations, quality and supply chain to ensure the project delivers the requirements and that the Customer accepts them
