Job Description

Job Title: Quality Engineer

Location: Prestwick, Hybrid – 3 days per week on site + Potential supplier site visits within the UK

What you’ll be doing:

In this role, you will support civil aircraft supplier approvals and help ensure the business stays fully compliant with requirements linked to the Production Organisation Approval (CAA Part 21G). You’re in charge of completing audits across a diverse supplier base and contribute to internal QMS audit activity, applying sound judgement and a consistent approach.

Be responsible for keeping the management system current and effective by working closely with process owners to implement timely updates. You will also review and refine quality policies, processes and procedures to maintain alignment with regulatory expectations and support reliable, compliant operations.

Core duties:

  • You have experience working with EN9100, ISO9001 and CAA Part 21G/21J approval environments
  • You’re familiar with civil aircraft operating under Product Type Certificates and the quality assurance activities that support them
  • You bring capability in using quality improvement tools and techniques to strengthen processes and outcomes
  • You’re able to complete audits confidently across suppliers and internal teams
  • You have a structured, detail‑focused approach to reviewing quality policies, processes and procedures
  • You’re comfortable working with process owners to implement compliant, timely updates to the management system

The Reginal Aircraft Quality Team:

The team supports quality assurance across the regional aircraft business, working from Prestwick’s growing engineering hub. As the business expands, the team’s remit will broaden into military projects, creating a collaborative environment with development opportunities and exposure to an evolving, multi‑domain project landscape.
