About the OPPORTUNITY
We have a new opportunity for a Project Manager – Ship Management to join our Hunter Class Frigate Program based at our Osborne Naval Shipyard in South Australia reporting to the FWD Area Manager
We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, such as working a 9-day fortnight and/ or hybrid working.
You will be responsible for providing support to the governance oversight of the end-to-end delivery of the Hunter Class Frigate Program (HCFP)
Key responsibilities include:
- Support Ship Integration Delivery Lead with CAM responsibilities
- Facilitate delivery of Operations Mandated System Reviews (MSR)
- Coordinate Operations inputs in accordance with Annex J – Production Milestones and also with Attachment P – Strategic and Other Performance Measures
- Integrate across all Ship Integration CAM areas with respect to Risk and Opportunity Management
- Champion Ship Integration Program Issues within the HCFP Program Issues framework
- Contribute to BAE Systems Australia’s Project Management processes including but not limited to:
- Contract Status Report (CSR)
- Project Performance Review (PPR)
- Lifecycle Management (LCM) Reviews
About YOU
- Team orientation with a high level of written and oral communication skills including the ability to communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders from all levels and from a range of disciplines
- Excellent attention to detail and organisation skills, together with a high degree of motivation, initiative and enthusiasm
- Well-developed self-management skills and demonstrated ability to work under your own initiative to deliver outputs to time, quality and cost
- A curious mindset and ability to integrate and extract information
- An ability to work as part of a team or independently with little supervision and guidance and using your own experience, judgement and initiative
- Computer literacy, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Eligibility to be cleared for International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
- Ability to obtain Australian Defence security clearance of Negative Vetting Level 1 (NV1) is required
