Job Title: Project Manager

Location: Scotstoun. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

Salary: Up to £65,000 depending on skills and experience

What you’ll be doing:

  • Develop and deliver the plan and its associated dependencies, in alignment with the T26 programme across multiple hulls, encompassing both build and system set to work
  • Support appropriate management of external contracts; Suppliers and Contractors alongside our Supply Chain
  • Coordinate build activities with the production build team
  • Identify and provide the weekly updates and monthly reporting, in alignment with the T26 Combat Systems (CS) project management reporting requirements

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • Excellent knowledge and experience of Project Management techniques in a complex delivery context
  • Experience in managing large projects within a complex Engineering environment
  • A thorough understanding of commercial principles to represent BAE Systems in discussions with various stakeholders
  • A full understanding of Life Cycle Management
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills across various functions and teams

Desirable:

  • Industry recognised project management qualification, ideally APMP

The Naval Ships Gunnery team:

The BAE Systems Naval Ships Gunnery Team provides expertise in building and commissioning Naval Gunnery systems, working closely with international suppliers across several different systems on a large nationally important programme. This role will provide project management support as part of a team delivering Gunnery systems in conjunction with OEMs and the MoD to the Royal Navy over the next 10 years. You will have the opportunity to drive efficiency and change developing and enhancing your skills and knowledge as part of an experienced team delivering a truly unique product and with the potential to progress into more senior positions within a global business.
