Role Description:

The Project/Electronic Engineer will work within the Air Traffic Management (ATM) Project team, under the direction and support of the PEM to ensure a systems oriented, integrated approach is achieved through project engineering development and verification activities. Our mission is to provide continuing support to Surveillance & Control System Program Office (S&CSPO) and their suite of ATM systems which includes; FTACAN, DTACAN, AMACCS, TVSS platforms and ATCOM services. System sites are geographically dispersed across Australia, owned, operated and maintained by the RAAF and BAE System personnel which makes for a complex and interesting role.

Core Duties:

  • Derive, analyse and manage electrical system/ equipment requirements
  • Undertake functional and circuit analysis to determine strengths and weaknesses of candidate electrical system/ equipment solutions
  • Translate the electrical system/ equipment design into a manufacturable solution and incorporate changes as required
  • Undertake engineering management of the electrical system/ equipment manufacture
  • Undertake the integration and validation of the electrical system/ equipment design including contributing to the integration and validation plans and reports
  • Support electrical systems/ equipment qualification activities to ensure that the product meets all requirements including safety and regulatory requirements
  • Develop and manage System requirements, models and documents (System and Subsystem Specifications, Product Breakdown Structure, Design Documents, component specifications, interface specifications, MBSE artefacts, etc.)

KEY CRITERIA:

  • A background in Electrical, RF or Systems is considered desirable
  • Experience handling budgeting and scheduling tasks for project under $500K is advantageous
  • Experience with Maximo and/or CAMM2 is considered advantageous
  • Defence security clearance or eligibility to obtain NV1 clearance
  • Eligibility to be cleared for International Traffic In Arms (ITAR) regulations
  • This role requires a Foreign Work Authorisation (FWA)
