Job Description

Job Title: Principal Supply Chain Risk & Intelligence Professional

Location: Scotstoun. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements. Please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role

Salary: Circa £45,000 – £55,000 depending on skills and experience

What you’ll be doing:

  • Help drive performance and value through the controlled engagement of strategic and critical suppliers enabling best financial and performance outcomes for BAE and its customer
  • Support the delivery of a future vision for Global Combat Ship (GCS) Wide Supply Chain Risk and Intel, inclusive of future programmes needs and relevant to the evolving global risk landscape, taking account of supply chain resilience, risk management systems and resources
  • Deliver flexible capability to meet the needs of emergent customer and senior management requirements for GCS Supply Chain risk and intelligence
  • Develop and deliver a high-quality forward-looking Supply Chain Risk and Intelligence profiling and report services to the Naval Ships business
  • Ensure that Supply Chain Risks in the business/function are identified, analysed, evaluated and mitigated using the process set out in the BAES Business Risk Management Standard
  • Provide guidance to contract manager/buyers regarding acceptance of aspects of Risk when assessing the acceptability of new suppliers – maturity, capability, capacity, governance, resilience
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of a Maritime and Land Sector level Risk and Intelligence Capability
  • When a risk becomes an issue works at pace to maintain business continuity

Your skills and experiences:

  • Strong understanding of cross business Supply Chain risk themes
  • Experience with implementing supplier risk strategies
  • Commercial and procurement experience including executing strategic commercial agreements and the development of Procurement plans
  • Relevant, demonstrable Supply Chain experience in governance, assurance or procurement
  • Strong presentation and communication skills with the ability to collaborate with a range of multi-functional stakeholders to ensure business and supply chain risk are managed across the business

The Global Combat Ship Strategic Supply Chain team:

As a Principal Supply Chain Risk & Intelligence Professional you will enable strategic supplier management for Naval Ship programmes through influencing multiple stakeholders including supply chain, engineering, commercial, manufacturing engineering & programme management at all levels across programme life cycle.
