Job Description:
You will play a key role in the delivery of the River Class Destroyer (RCD) Programme, managing supply chain contract structures and data within the Windchill Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) environment. You will ensure the accuracy, integrity and readiness of Integrated Bill of Material (iBoM) data, supporting efficient material procurement and programme execution. Working closely with Supply Chain customers, including Irving Shipbuilding in Canada, you will help deliver high-quality engineering outputs that are critical to the successful delivery of the programme.
Core duties:
- You will coordinate cross-functional BoM reviews to develop, validate and maintain the Engineering Bill of Materials for the RCD Programme
- Produce BoM documents for delivery to customer supply chain stakeholders
- Conduct detailed BoM analysis and investigations, providing recommendations to resolve complex customer and programme issues
- You will create, maintain and govern planning BoM structures within the PLM environment
Essential Skills:
- Proven experience in Bill of Material (BoM) integration, product data management and governance within a complex engineering environment
- Considerable knowledge of PLM, PDM and ERP toolsets (e.g. Windchill, Aveva ERM or SAP), with experience of improving data quality and business processes
- Familiarity with Engineering Product Change processes and policies
- Ideally degree-qualified (or equivalent experience) in a relevant discipline and professionally registered as a Chartered Engineer (or equivalent)
The BoM Delivery Team:
Join the River Class Destroyer Programme and play a key role at the cutting edge of naval engineering. As part of a highly skilled BoM Integration team, you’ll help shape and maintain the Engineering & Planning Bill of Materials, working closely with Senior and Principal Engineers while developing expertise in advanced PLM tools and complex warship design programmes.
