Role Description:

As a Missile Technician, you’ll play a key role in assembling, testing, and maintaining advanced defence systems, ensuring safety, quality, and reliability while working as part of a skilled and supportive team.

Core Duties:

• Assemble and disassemble Nulka decoy components, propulsion units and associated systems using specialised tools, jigs and fixtures.
• Conduct electrical testing, inspections and physical measurements to verify product quality and performance.
• Perform production, maintenance and testing activities in accordance with approved procedures, work orders and schedules.
• Support material control activities, including kitting, staging and movement of equipment and explosive ordnance.
• Complete accurate maintenance records and documentation in Maximo and other relevant systems.
• Conduct inspections, acceptance testing and calibration activities to ensure compliance with quality requirements.
• Ensure all tooling, test equipment and work areas are safe, serviceable and fit for purpose.
• Identify, report and assist in resolving safety, equipment and process-related issues.
• Support engineering investigations and continuous improvement activities as required.
• Adhere to all safety, quality, ESD and explosive ordnance handling procedures and standards.

Essential Skills:

• Certificate III qualification in a relevant technical discipline, or demonstrated experience in Defence weapons platform maintenance, planned maintenance activities, or a similar maintenance environment.

• Hold an Australian Defence Security Clearance – NV2
