Job title: Master Data Management – Senior Engineer

Salary: £47,683

What you’ll be doing:

  • Work to establish and deliver the Engineering Master Data Management strategy
  • Support to the development of an Engineering Master Data Management Framework, Processes and procedures including MASEDs
  • Identify where Engineering data issues are prevalent and recommend solutions
  • Support presentations of the Engineering Master Data Management strategy to the senior leadership team and Master Data Management community
  • Identify and recommend host tools for engineering data attributes
  • Engage with pan-functional stakeholders to understand the range of consumers of Engineering data and their specific Information Needs
  • Challenge & Optimise data hungry business processes and offer alternate strategies
  • Support engagement with IM&T to ensure toolsets are fit for purpose (inc security, size, export control)
  • Management of configuration controlled data
  • Stakeholder liaison, including IM&T, Engineering, Supply Chain and Procurement
  • Governance and Data Quality Audits
  • Support team operational meetings and reviews

Your skills and experiences:

  • A degree in a STEM subject or equivalent experience
  • Understanding and practical experience of how Engineering data is hosted, maintained and used across the lifecycle
  • Knowledge of Engineering Data Management toolsets and Design documentation across a variety of Aircraft products
  • Experience liaising with other areas of the business to troubleshoot/problem solve/resolve existing issues
  • Understanding of S2000M standard/or use of standards in general
  • Product & Support Engineering knowledge is desirable

The Engineering Master Data Management team in Support and Services:

Would you like to play a key role in the design, development and delivery of a Master Data Management (MDM) Capability Programme within the Air Sector led by Engineering? We currently have a vacancy for an experienced Engineer with skills and knowledge in integration management. The role is UK-based in support of the implementation of a new data management strategy across the Air Sector. As a member of the Engineering Function within Support and Services, the primary focus is on Engineering Data, but with a business viewpoint to embrace information needs at a pan-functional level.

You will be responsible for providing Engineering support for delivering the Engineering Data Management strategy to ensure that Engineering data is fit for purpose for the future.
