Job title: Lead Mission Systems Engineer

Salary: £54,793 – £60,326
What you’ll be doing:
- Lead and support team meetings / DSUMs / Agile reviews
- Interface with resource planners and owners, establishing tasking and interface routes
- Manage / help / direct less experienced Systems Engineers, e.g. an apprentice
- Manage the creation of Engineering documents that form part of the Systems Engineering process
- Provide technical expertise, supporting and / or leading in the following activities for Mission Systems as part of a multi-functional engineering team:
Requirements management, Design, Testing, Safety, Cyber Security, Qualification and certification
Your skills and experiences:
Essential
- Systems Engineering experience and Engineering lifecycle knowledge
- Knowledge of systems engineering methods and tools (e.g. UML/SysML, MoDAF, MOOD, Matlab)
- Experience of developing Mission Systems and associated domain knowledge
Desirable
- Experience of leading and managing Engineering teams

The Mission Systems Delivery team:
You will be part of the Mission Systems Delivery Team (MSDT) delivering the Assessment Phase of the Future Combat Air System (FCAS) programme. The team uses an agile work planning process to develop mission system concept options, architectures and designs for the various components of a future combat air system.
