Who we are:

Join BAE Systems and you’ll be part of something bigger. As a valued member of our global colleague network, you’ll bring your unique skills and perspectives to help pioneer progress and protect what matters most. You’ll be trusted to play your part in delivering the advanced, technology-led defence, aerospace and security solutions of tomorrow, shaping a safer future, for all of us.

From the depths of the ocean, to the far reaches of space, there’s no limit to where a career at BAE Systems could take you.

Job Description:

We’re looking for a Functional Consultant to join our Digital Solutions team and support the delivery of our Teamcenter Unified Architecture (TCUA) transformation programme. Working with Engineering, Manufacturing and IT stakeholders, you’ll help shape and implement PLM solutions that drive process improvement, data quality and operational efficiency across the organisation.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in a strategic business transformation while contributing to the wider digital roadmap for engineering and manufacturing systems.

Core duties:

  • Support the delivery and implementation of the Teamcenter Unified Architecture (TCUA) solution as part of the PLM transformation programme
  • Work with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into effective PLM solutions and processes
  • Configure, test, and deploy system enhancements and process improvements across engineering and manufacturing functions
  • Collaborate with implementation partners, vendors, and business teams to deliver successful outcomes
  • Provide functional expertise throughout the project lifecycle, including requirements, testing, training, deployment, and go-live support
  • Identify opportunities to improve product lifecycle management, data management, and engineering change processes

Essential Skills:

  • Experience working within manufacturing, engineering or industrial environments
  • Knowledge of delivering application changes through the full lifecycle and configuring and supporting Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) applications
  • Experience working with external suppliers and software vendors and managing stakeholders across multiple business functions
  • Experience with Siemens Teamcenter Unified Architecture (TCUA) is desirable; however, we welcome candidates with experience of other PLM, engineering or enterprise platforms who are looking to develop their Teamcenter UA expertise

The Development Team:

The Development Team delivers and supports business-critical applications, integrations, and digital solutions across the organisation. Working closely with business stakeholders and wider IT teams, we are responsible for the full solution lifecycle, from requirements and design through to deployment and ongoing support.

The team is a blend of experienced IT professionals and colleagues who have transitioned from the business, bringing a strong combination of technical expertise and operational knowledge. As part of the organisation’s ongoing digital transformation, the team is evolving its ways of working, with an increasing focus on Agile principles, collaboration, continuous improvement, and tools such as Jira.
