Instructional Designer

Role Description:
You will be responsible for delivering high-quality training solutions that enable workforce capability. Working as the key link between Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and instructional development, you will design, develop and evaluate learning materials that are engaging, compliant and aligned to competency and business requirements.
Core Duties:
- Design, develop, review and evaluate compliant learning solutions and training materials.
- Collaborate with SMEs to develop training products and integrate stakeholder feedback.
- Conduct compliance reviews and map content against competency frameworks and regulatory requirements.
- Apply instructional design methodologies, including ADDIE and human-centred design principles.
- Develop and validate e-learning resources through user testing and evaluation activities.
- Provide instructional design support and guidance to SMEs and project stakeholders.
- Deliver training products to agreed project schedules while maintaining quality and compliance standards.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and best-practice learning design.
Essential Skills:
- Experience developing training solutions in an RTO, Defence, aviation, or highly regulated environment.
- Sound knowledge of ADDIE, training system development, AQSA requirements and competency-based training.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to work effectively with SMEs and project teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work autonomously.
- Certificate IV in Training & Assessment.
- Qualifications in Instructional Design, Learning & Development or Training Design are highly regarded.
