Role Description:

The ILS Integration Officer is responsible for analysing logistics support data and maintenance documentation on equipment and systems, and for providing governance, assurance and recommendations that assist in ensuring the effective operation and sustainment of the equipment and systems until the Life of Type is reached.

As directed by the ILS Lead, the incumbent will assist with specialist input to the design and development of solutions. They will review and provide input to logistics support analysis outputs in accordance with the approved BAE Systems Australia standard procedures and processes, and those collaboratively developed within the Enterprise. They will also ensure the output meets with the agreed operational needs of the customer and end-user.

The role will ensure that best practice, definitive advice, analysis and evidence is provided to ensure delivery of support package to agreed milestones. The position involves exercising sound logistics support analysis judgement.

Core Duties:

  • To do tasks pertaining to the referred skills & attributes relevant to the program scope of product or service
  • Conduct risk assessments on the equipment/ system being investigated
  • Draw conclusions and propose recommendations to improve equipment/ system reliability and supportability based on LSA data and available evidence
  • Complete and deliver reporting documentation on time, to an agreed schedule
  • Make decisions within own sphere of responsibility and delegated authority
  • Assist in the development of project infrastructure such as tools deployment, metrics collection and process development

KEY CRITERIA:

  • Experience using LSAR tools such as ePRO
  • Experience on with systems such as DOORS, Windchill is considered advantageous
  • Defence security clearance or eligibility to obtain NV1 clearance
  • Eligibility to be cleared for International Traffic In Arms (ITAR) regulations
  • This role requires a Foreign Work Authorisation (FWA)

The Destroyer Capability Enhancement (DCE) Team

Under the Destroyer Capability Enhancement (DCE) program, Australia’s Hobart class destroyers — HMA Ships Hobart, Brisbane and Sydney, will receive advancements that will boost capability to ensure they remain effective in a dynamic maritime environment
