Job Description
Job title: Human Factors Engineer

Salary: £42,132
What you’ll be doing:
- Coordinating and leading Safety Critical Task screening workshops
- Carrying out assessment and peer review to ensure best practice is being applied to the categorisation of high hazard risk
- Reporting and reviewing findings and recommendations whilst agreeing and recording appropriate actions to ensure sufficient safeguards are in place
- Performing hierarchical task analysis and human failure analysis
- Reviewing and continuously improving Standard Operating Procedures
- Ensuring that Safety Critical Tasks are identified through the Risk Assessment process, that subsequent controls are implemented and documented
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
- HNC/HND or equivalent qualification or experience in Engineering/Human Factors
- Background in Manufacturing industry, experience working within multi-disciplinary environment
- Experienced in report writing and leading/supporting workshops
Desirable:
- Knowledge and experience of human factors methods involved in safety assessments
- Experience providing human factors expertise to accident or incident investigations
- Understanding of Human Factors integration in the design of products and/or processes

This role will provide you with an exciting opportunity to join an expanding team, working on one of the most complex sites in the UK. It is a unique opportunity for an individual with a basic understanding of Human Factors, to further develop skills within this niche area and a full development plan, training and support will be available to help you to progress to Human Factors Engineer level.
