Job title: Apprentice Finance

Location: Sheffield

Salary: Starting from £23,493 per annum, with annual progression through the scheme duration

What you’ll be doing:

  • Take your first step towards becoming a Chartered Management Accountant with our Level4 Finance Apprenticeship. This two-year programme combines structured learning with hands-on experience across core finance teams, while you study for the CIMA Qualification.
  • Rotating through different roles, gaining insight into how finance supports business decisions, developing key skills like communication, analysis and problem-solving. Supported through structured study time and on the job learning, with tailored development plan.
  • Open to individuals with A-levels (or equivalent) who are motivated and ready to grow. Those who demonstrate strong potential may progress to our Level 7 Finance Apprenticeship, working towards full CIMA qualification.

What qualification will you get?
By the end of the L4 apprenticeship, you’ll achieve the CIMA Certificate in Business Accounting through structured classroom-based learning.

The Weapon Systems Team:
As part of the Platforms & Services sector, Weapon Systems designs, manufactures and supports artillery systems, naval guns, and provides engineering capability. We are looking for innovation, commitment and drive to help define the future of Weapon Systems capabilities.

Many roles also require higher levels of National Security Vetting where applicants must typically have 5 to 10 years of continuous residency in the UK depending on the vetting level required for the role, to allow for meaningful security vetting checks. Qualification requirements

5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade 9-4 / A*-C which must include Maths & English AND
96 UCAS points (or equivalent) (excluding UCAS points gained at AS level) which must include Maths or a Finance/Numerical related qualification at Level 3.
