Job Description:

The hangar support assistant is a multi-tasked role to support all activities within the RAF Coningsby Maintenance hangar. We are seeking an enthusiastic and engaging team member with experience in manual handling. This is a fast-paced, physically active role, requiring the ability to safely perform lifting and moving tasks.

Core duties:

• Towing of Aircraft ground equipment
• Urgent deliveries of Test Equipment/Ground Equipment and maintenance consumables including of Towing and Aircraft slot maintenance within TMF (Typhoon Maintenance Facility)
• Waste Disposal of hazardous Oils and Lubricants from the aircraft maintenance
• Operation and coordination of the support hangar storage, including transports
• Periodic washing of TyTAN aircraft, and coordinate/ upkeep of the wash facility
• Varied tasks in support of TyTAN maintenance activities
• Various physical tasks involving lifting, carrying and moving

Essential Skills:

• Full Clean Driving licence

The team provides essential support across driving, general hangar duties, and wash operations, enabling engineers to focus on their core maintenance tasks.
