Location: Warton / Samlesbury (Lancashire). We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – however for this role you will be expected to attend your site 3-4 days per week.

Salary: £34,000 Per Annum + £2,000 Welcome Bonus

Role description

As a Graduate Data Analyst specialising in Data Modelling and Design, you will help shape and improve the way critical business and technical data is structured, managed, and modelled across our programmes. Working with architects, engineers, analysts, and Subject Matter Experts you will design data models of varying levels of detail and develop data solutions that enable informed decision-making across the BAE Systems Air business. The role offers career development in a Data Architecture pathway as well as the opportunity to work on complex challenges within a highly collaborative environment, applying analytical thinking, innovation, and integrity to support the delivery of world-class aerospace and defence capabilities.

Core duties

• Support the design, documentation, and governance of conceptual, logical, and physical data models to ensure enterprise information is structured, consistent, and aligned to business requirements.
• This includes the ability to be hands-on from a Data Management and Engineering perspective as designs are validated within our local Data Warehousing estate
• Create, update, and maintain information architecture objects, relationships, and repositories within BizzDesign, ensuring architecture artefacts remain accurate, traceable, and aligned to our standards and frameworks.
• Contribute to the definition and application of information architecture principles, standards, and best practices
• Develop strong working relationships across Air’s business functions, providing guidance on information architecture practices and communicating designs to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Qualification requirements

As a minimum requirement you must have obtained, or be predicted to obtain, a 2:2 Bachelor’s degree or a pass at Master’s level in the following subjects: Physics, Maths, Systems Engineering, Computer Systems Engineering or Computer Science.
