Job Title: Graduate Submarines Computing and IT Engineer
Location: Frimley (Surrey). We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – however for this role you will be expected to attend your site 3-4 days per week.
Salary: £34,000 Per Annum + £2,000 Welcome Bonus

Role Description
Design, build, implement and support the computing environments that power our products. You’ll work across private cloud platforms, development rigs and integration systems, ensuring they are secure, resilient and high-performing. The solutions you help to develop will not only enable Engineering teams, but will also form part of our end products, supporting a critical national endeavour. From designing, deploying and supporting development rigs to managing configurations, applying updates and resolving issues, you’ll play a key role in delivering robust, mission critical technology.
Core Duties
• Working as part of a team to design, support and implement development rigs and private cloud environments, delivering reliable platforms that support both Engineering activities and integration into the end product.
• Contribute to systems that support a critical national endeavour, ensuring high standards of security, resilience and performance.
• Support and maintain live environments, ensuring availability and reliability for Engineering teams.
• Assist with deployment of updates, patches and releases through structured change control processes, minimising risk to critical systems.
• Monitor systems, investigate issues and resolve support tickets, helping reduce downtime and maintain operational effectiveness, maintain accurate configuration records supporting service stability and effective issue resolution.

Be a part of designing, building, testing, and commissioning the Astute and Dreadnought Class, the largest and most advanced submarines operated by the Royal Navy, providing a powerful and secure deterrent for the United Kingdom.

Qualification requirements
You must have obtained, or be predicted to obtain, a minimum 2:2 bachelor’s degree or a pass at master’s level in the following subjects: Software, Computing and/or IT
Start date: 12th April 2027 Length of contract: Permanent contract
