With a strong heritage in fast jet and trainer platforms, we support the Australian Defence Force across the full air capability lifecycle, sustaining Australia’s F35 fleet and delivering regional maintenance support throughout the Asia-Pacific as part of the multinational F35 program.

About the OPPORTUNITY:

We are seeking qualified Aircraft Maintenance Engineers across Structures, Mechanical and Avionics trades to support ongoing sustainment and capability growth based in Williamtown NSW. As an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer on the F35 program, you will report to a Team Leader and perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities in accordance with authorised technical data and regulatory standards. Responsibilities for each trade includes:

Structures:

  • Production, maintenance and sheet metal repair
  • Composite and bonded structure repairs
  • Structural modifications and inspections

Mechanical:

  • Hydraulic, pneumatic and environmental systems
  • Propulsion-related system components
  • Aircraft mechanical servicing and fault rectification

Avionics:

  • Fault diagnosis and maintenance of avionics systems
  • Electrical and integrated aircraft systems
  • Compliance with technical publications and certification requirements

About YOU

  • Certificate IV in Aeroskills trade or equivalent (Mandatory)
  • Australian Citizenship (Mandatory)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance (Mandatory)
  • Strong attention to detail and compliance mindset
  • Ability to work in high-performance team environments

Application Requirements & Clearances

Equivalent aircraft maintenance trade qualifications may be considered on a case-by-case basis depending how it aligns to the current Certificate IV in Aeroskills apprenticeship training standard.

Please note, as a Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and either possess or be eligible to obtain and maintain appropriate clearances: further information regarding security clearance. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) are applicable and as such, your nationality may be a factor in determining your suitability for this role.
